We had our Mid-Project Retreat this weekend at Kimbercote (www.kimbercote.org) Our first session today was facilated by Mr.Beveridge and Mr.Belal. They came from Toronto and stayed for lunch. Vibhor and Manoj planned an activity where we wrote about each of the particapants. We passed around a sheet for the exercise in a circle so we knew who really wrote it. We weren't completly honest. . .
Saturday
Our so called retreat continued today with a session on our Work placements. It was facilated by Marie-Eve,Sarika, Jacinthe and Shilpi. We answered 17 questions to share our thoughts about our work. Later we were put to real work at Kimbercote. We built benches, painted table, gardened, stacked wood and wrote articles to pay for our room and board. After a well deserved break, we gathered at the barn and played the String Game. The particapants sat in a circle and everytime one talked they held a portion of the string. After a couple of hours some participants had many loops of string in their hands and others very few. In the evening our search continued for a group decision making contract. Facilated by Daniel and Bev we discussed how to resolve this problem in the group. We wrote up a draft in the wee hours of the morning.
Sunday
Goodbye Kimbercote! Our visit came to an end too soon, but hopefully we'll be back in October. In the afternoon some participants visited St. Jacob's. They watched a short film about the Mennonite community and toured the museum.

Happy 21st Birthday, Anthony! Hope you get a visit from the birthday elephant.
